My Core Values
Our personal values are the compass that guides our actions from the heart. Our shared values shape our relationships. The School of Impermanence is the right place for any spatial practitioner who shares the following values.
1. Impermanence is in the nature of life.
Growth happens at the edges of our comfort zones; transformation allows us to evolve.
2. Spatial practice means designing spaces by designing relationships.
Love lies at the core of every relationship, and therefore, at the core of spatial practice.
3. Reproductive labour is equally important as productive labour.
Taking care of ourselves and others—holding space, resting, repairing, recharging, recycling—is an inevitable and essential part of design. Sustaining practices are as important as productive actions.

4. Architecture is a practice, not an object.
As such, it does not follow a problem-solution duality. The practice of creating space embraces complexity and opens up new possibilities, relationships, and connections.
5. Spatial practitioners navigate a complex web of histories and actors.
The tabula rasa and the lonely genius do not exist.
6. Each person has their own unique path.
The school is a space without hierarchy, judgment, or advice. We welcome curiosity, openness, and compassion. Each of us holds the agency to make decisions and create.
7. Embodiment and emotions are at the heart of true transformation.
The school offers support in reconnecting with your heart, your passion, and your joy—while also welcoming the voices of self-criticism, perfectionism, sadness, and fear. Everything is connected. Human beings are complex, and so is our practice.
